What is a CISMA?
A Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area, or CISMA, is a grassroots partnership formed with the goal of managing invasive species across ownership boundaries. Our partnership includes citizens, nonprofits, local, state, and federal government.
What CISMA's do?
We educate, assist, and connect people to protect our native wildlife and habitats from the impacts of invasive species.
- Increase awareness about invasive species
- Invasive plant trainings & workdays
- Share info on invasive plant control options & landowner assistance
- Presentations to local schools & citizen groups
- Public outreach at events
