Our mission
OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY CONSERVATION SERVICES RESULTING IN A HARMONIOUS BALANCE BETWEEN NATURAL RESOURCES, SOCIAL CHANGE AND ECONOMIC HEALTH WITHIN VANDERBURGH COUNTY BY FOSTERING INNOVATIVE PARTNERSHIPS.

The Vanderburgh County Soil & Water Conservation District offers a variety of programs and services designed to help landowners and residents implement conservation practices. Our tailored solutions address the specific needs of our local environment and community.
Soil Sampling
Call us at 812-423-4426 x3 or email megan.klenck@in.nacdnet.net to schedule 1 free soil sample for your garden.
Free Resources
We provide free resources to the community including pollinator seed packets, pollinator habitat signs and garden cover crop seeds.
Grants/Cost-share Funding
We provide cost-share funds for certain conservation practices determined by our grant funding.
CISMA
Our volunteer based group is dedicated to educate, assist, and connect people
to protect our native wildlife and habitats
from the impacts of invasive species.
